In ARK: Survival Evolved, you find yourself on an island crawling with dinosaurs. Players need to find resources, build shelters and create the items they need as they investigate what happened on the island, and of course, try to survive. Players of ARK can explore the watery depths while watching for the terrifying megalodon, befriend a pterodactyl, fend off velociraptor attacks, or take down a T-Rex for its hide. Your aim, alongside other players online, is to conquer the island and solve the mystery?
This is a survival game that sets itself apart from other open world and crafting and survival competitors, such as Minecraft, The Forest and The Long Dark, with the inclusion of dinosaurs.
It is currently available on Steam, but not as a download. While the game is still in early access it does sound promising. However, because of the early access there is not yet an abundance of content, and there are still errors, meaning that some parts of the game do not work correctly. Lack of optimization also means that if you do not have a high-end computer, you are going to have to deal with the more than occasional freezes. However, the number of players is steadily increasing, and you won’t have any problem getting into a game with a range of other players, both new and experienced in the game.
Definitely amongst the best dinosaur games you can play.
