PCSX2 is an open source emulator that allows users to play Playstation 2 games on their PCs. PCSX2, which was created by the PCSX2 Team, works with the Microsoft Windows, Apple Mac and Linux Operating Systems. If you loved the Playstation 2 and still can’t get enough of it, then download PCSX2 and play all of your favorite games on your PC regardless of what Operating System you use. PCSX2 was first released in 2002 and is available in 14 different languages. This small (less than a 15MB download) and easy to use program uses a GNU General Public License.
PCSX2 contains a number of features and, because it is an open source program (which means that it can be tweaked, modded and recoded by anyone with access to the program’s code) a large number of add-ons and plug-ins have been released. Most PCs will be able to play the Playstation games that run through the PCSX2 program, but lower spec computers may struggle to play some of the more complex games.
