Blast your way through enemies while you rescue your captured comrades. In order to accomplish this mission, you will have to use your wits to find a path through the destructible environment. Start off as Broney Ross and use your special moves and select weapons to destroy enemies and make it in time for the rescue. For the most part, games that tie-in with movies are usually crappy, they have bad storylines and poor graphics. They rely on the big-name actors and actresses to attract attention to the game, just as they do with the movies. However, The Expendabros, the game for the movie The Expendables 3, is pretty good.
A Contra-like feel verticality and agility can be felt with the classic platform shooting, while the wall jumping will remind you of games like Shinobi. In addition, you will sense a modern influence that feels like Terraria with the destructible landscapes that let you find your own way through the levels. Even though the enemies and characters are small and pixelated, each is clearly distinguishable. Each character has their own weapons and special moves, meaning you will have to get familiar with each in order to utilize them effectively. The game is a great fit, it encompasses the same humor as the film, the same tongue-in-cheek view of 80s and 90s action movies.
