The Adobe Flash Builder, which used to be known as Adobe Flex Builder, is an IDE, or Integrated Development Environment that is used to create online applications and games. We have all seen Flash games and apps on the internet, cute and quirk games with slick interfaces and smooth animations, and using the Adobe Flash Builder you can create your own versions of these games and apps which you can then upload to the web.
Adobe Flash Builder is available in Student, Premium and Educational editions, with different price tags and features for all three versions. Adobe Flash Builder is fairly simple to use, although it does require some prior technical expertise and programming knowledge, and it utilizes a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) interface that makes the process run smoothly and easily. Flash Builder was originally created by Macromedia and was buried by Adobe Systems (along with programs such as Dreamweaver and Photoshop) when they bought the Macromedia name in 2005. Adobe Flash Builder is available for the Microsoft Windows and Apple Mac Operating Systems.
