Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be part of the mob? With Mafia 2, now you can. Guide your character through the streets of Empire Bay and complete various tasks. Interact with the people of the city, steal cars, collect weapons, and make ‘the family’ proud. Mafia 2, a third-person PC game, lets you try your hand at being part of a crime family, a mobster. This game is similar to Mafia 1930, but with improved graphical detail.
Like similar games, you will have to explore the Empire City and complete missions in order to progress. One of the great advantages of this game is the amount of choices that it gives to the player. For example there is a large variety of weapons to choose from. Of course, the traditional Thompson submachine gun and Colt 1911 are available, but there are plenty of other options including the MP40, 870 shotguns, M3 submachine gun and many more.
Mission options are varied between Standard and Violent. You can take cover behind objects, run for cover and shoot at the same time, and you can also choose between three different radio stations while playing the game. This is a very well thought out and constructed game, that will leave very few gamers disappointed. The only issue to note is that older computers may freeze or lag when they try to run Mafia 2, due to the system requirements.
