If you are familiar with the Dungeon Hunter series, the latest instalment might throw you for a loop. Instead of destroying enemies in the traditional arena-based way you may have come accustomed to, Dungeon Hunter 4 takes you on an epic journey as a role-playing game. Travel through mythical worlds as you slice your way through your enemies. As you progress, you can improve your characters’ skills and weaponry to help you advance through more challenging levels. Choose your characters’ class which will have its own special abilities and attributes. The key to success in this game is collecting, buying or earning items to improve your character.
The game is based on a freemium model that requires you to pay for new powers and weapons to accelerate the improvement of your characters’ skills. Granted, you can get through the first couple of levels with not much difficulty, but you will either have to wait for the upgrades, or spend money for them once the difficulty of the game increases.
Dungeon Hunter 4’s primary focus is on the single-player campaign, but there is an online mode that lets you fight it out with other players. You will need a Gameloft Live account or Facebook account to play the multiplayer modes however. Dungeon Hunter 4 is an easy game to pick up and play, which adds appeal to gamers that are not very familiar with RPG’s. This is another great addition for the franchise and one that you should not miss out on.
The saga continues in this easy-to-play RPG.
